Touch of Death Book Review

Touch of Death is one of those rare books that actually makes you sad when it’s over because it’s that good.  It takes a unique perspective on Greek Mythology.  You’ll never look at Medusa the same way.  It was a complex storyline but was never confusing and flowed well.

Jodi Marshall is your average teenager…that is until she turned 16.  After hitting a deer with her car and several unexpected deaths later she knows something is wrong.  As if people and animals randomly dying around isn’t enough she is being stalked by a guy named Alex.  Everything comes to a head after another tragic death.  Alex tells her she is from the bloodline of Medusa and anything that comes into contact with her saliva, tears or blood will kill them instantly; hence all the deaths.  She runs away to be with other people like her so she doesn’t accidently kill anyone else and quickly finds out things are not as they seem.

Often times when a book has this many layers you find your mind wandering or you lose interest.  This is not one of those books.  Hashway has a gift and we’re lucky she’s followed her dream of writing. I can’t wait to see what she writes next.  I give this book five out of five donuts.
